Reactions to the All Star Roster with the biggest snubs

As many of you already know, All-Star Rosters were released earlier this week. The Astros, once again, made headlines after sending a franchise record 6 players to the Midsummer Classic in Miami this year. Along with the Astros, the Nationals and the Dodgers also covered the front page by sending a considerable amount of players, 5 and 6, respectively, to the All- Star game. Unsurprisingly, although, there is at least one player from each team that will participate in the All-Star Game, representing their respective club. The phrase "All- Star" is put in quotes as not everyone who has been selected deserves to be here.

Below, find the 3 major snubs in this year's All-Star roster

SNUBS

1) Paul Goldschmidt

Although Paul Goldschmidt was selected for the All-Star game, he was snubbed significantly. Paul Goldschmidt was chosen to be a reserve first baseman for the NL side, not a starter. If you already did not know, Goldschmidt is putting up remarkable numbers this season and is carrying the Diamondbacks on his back. He has not only been the leader for this team, but he has served as the catalyst for the Arizona D-Backs. Goldschmidt's wizardry with the bat makes him the most talented first baseman in baseball, let alone the National League. It is very surprising to find him as just a reserve, rather than a starting first baseman

2) Kris Bryant

I am sure this one surprised you. From former NL MVP last year to not even an All- Star pick. This was my reaction as well. Kris Bryant has been pretty impressive this season. He may be quiet, but he has smacked 18 home runs, has 38 RBI, and is putting up a career high 0.391 On-Base-Percentage. Kris Bryant surely deserves to be on the All-Star team.

3) Jed Lowrie

Jed Lowrie has been marvelous this season, but he has gone unnoticed amidst a great season as he has been overshadowed by big name second basemen in the AL, like Jose Altuve . Otherwise, Lowrie has put up remarkable numbers. Not only has he been smacking the ball into play with a .283 batting average, but he has a fabulous 0.468 Slugging Average and a 0.821 On-Base-Plus-Slugging Percentage.
